Answer :

The pie chart illustrates percentages of four different kinds of transportation in Edmonton, and the table shows people’s reasons for using the car in the city. Overall, it is clearly seen that using private vehicle (car) becomes the largest transportation and both bus and taxi are the lowest rate for using public accommodation. We can also see that commute to work is the majority people’s reasons for using car.

One of four different transportations, specifically car, is noticeable as the highest majority of accommodation by 45%. Other accommodations are LRT (Light Rail Transit), which is completely used for Edmonton’s population at 35%. Furthermore, both bus and taxi have been seen as the lowest percentages of the public accommodation at 10%.

According to the table, Edmonton’s inhabitant, mostly, uses car for their accommodation to work and business for each 55% and 45%. After wards, for 40% people use their own car to pick up the children to school. Then, shopping and leisure activity reasons become minorities at 15%. (170 words).

In Juny 10, 2018, was established a magazine which contain a controvesial article entitled  “is google making us stoopid?”.  Author by Nicholas Carr ; A writer in atlantic monthly magazine. he wrote “the human brian  is malleable that has the ability to reprogram itself and altering the way it functions”. A scientist Daniel Bell has called our “intelectual technology”. The tools extend our mental rather than physical capacities, we inevitably begin to take on qualities of those technologies. The infinite of internet make peoplecan  retrieve informations on the internet everytime. As the result, our ability to retain and process information will continue to dwindle.

This article was got many reactions from most scientist. The most scientists disagreed then disprove by the studies they have done. As a research by a team scientist at University of California, Los Angeles. The result said, “Through using the internet trigger key center in the brian that usualy atrophy with age and lack of use that can stimulate neural activity and possibly enhance cognitive fungtioning”.

Another study that has been done to refuse first statement by Nick is a study by Pew Internet report that interviewed 900 experts included academic, government, and business. the study said, “76 percent of respondents agreed widt statement that “in 2020, internet use can enhanced their intelegency. Many of them said no doubt we will become worse at doing somethings (more stupid) requiring rote memory of information that is now available through internet such as google. But this capability freed probably will be capable of more advanced integration and evaluation information (more intellegent).

“Two-thrirds experts said our using internet has improved our capabilities of reading, writing and rendering of knowledge. On the other hand, three out of four study respondents said using internet will gain to make better choices for adult.” said janna anderson, study co-author and director of imaginung internet center.

In the conclusion, using internet probably will make us stupid like nick said, but it probably enhances intelegent in the same time. However, many researchs was proved that the gains outweigh the losses. (355 words)
